As per usual, the internet is less than reliable, but here are some pics from this week. This past weekend we went to a Kriol center where we had the opportunity to learn some traditions related to the Kriol culture of Belize. The language is an English Creole, similar to some you would find in other Caribbean countries. We had sessions on local crafts, storytelling, and cashew roasting. We were lucky to see two musical groups preform...and even learned some dance moves! The center was near a Black Howler Monkey conservation area, so we also spotted a family of monkeys on our hike. The day was a great success!
Love always,
Jess
